LibreNotes is a private, self-hosted note-taking app with end-to-end encryption. Your notes are stored only on your own server — no cloud accounts, no third-party services, no tracking.

- End-to-end encryption (XChaCha20-Poly1305 + Argon2id): the server never sees your plaintext or keys
- Offline-first: full local cache, works without network, syncs when your server is reachable

The sync server is a single compiled binary you run on a home server. It binds to your LAN only. For access away from home, add devices and the server to a Tailscale or WireGuard mesh — no server changes needed.
All source code is AGPLv3. No proprietary dependencies, no Firebase, no Google Play Services.
