- Contact search can now be switched on when you first open the app. It was only ever hinted at, so the one way to enable it was to find SearchLauncher in Android's settings.
- Nothing is asked for before it is explained. The wallpaper prompt used to arrive as a bare Android dialog in the first seconds.
- Typing a phone number with dashes no longer answers it as a subtraction.

Rebuilding the search index used to hitch typing even though it ran on another thread. It now runs at background priority, only refreshes apps that actually changed, and no longer re-encodes every shortcut icon on each pass.
- Downloads work in the browser. Tapping a link to an APK, a PDF or any other file used to do nothing at all; files now save to your Downloads folder.
- Chats you can actually find. Messaging apps publish a few conversations and cache the rest, and only the first few were being indexed. WhatsApp went from 10 findable chats to 31 on my phone. This finds chats by name and opens them; it does not read your messages.
