Hebrew date, holidays, zmanim and Omer count on your lockscreen

Hebrew Calendar displays the current Hebrew date as a persistent lockscreen notification and home screen widget, with Jewish calendar information and optional halachic prayer times.
Calendar
• Hebrew date in Hebrew script (כ״ב ניסן תשפ״ו) or English transliteration
• Jewish holidays — Yom Tov, Chol HaMoed, Rosh Chodesh, fast days, and minor holidays
• Fast days show start and end times
• Shabbat label with weekly Torah portion (parsha)
• Upcoming parsha displayed throughout the week, not only on Shabbat
• Omer count during the 49 days between Pesach and Shavuot
• Diaspora and Israel holiday modes
Calendar screen
• Full month grid — browse by Hebrew or Gregorian month
• Both the Hebrew and Gregorian date shown in every day cell
• Tap a day for its details: holidays, fast start/end times, and zmanim for that date
• Links from the day sheet open the parsha, haftarah, and daily Tehillim directly in the reader
• Tap the month heading to jump to any month and year
Shabbat & Yom Tov
• Candle-lighting time with a live countdown on Friday and Erev Yom Tov (18, 20, 30, or 40 minutes before sunset)
• Havdalah time by your chosen opinion: 8.5°, 42 minutes, 50 minutes, or 72 minutes (Rabbeinu Tam)
• Shabbat Shalom banner on the lockscreen during Shabbat and Yom Tov
Sun, moon & direction
• Sun arc for today showing where the sun is heading, the time left until sunset, and the current sha'ah zmanit (halachic hour)
• The moon drawn in its current phase, with its illumination, and the Birkat HaLevana window with its text
• Jerusalem compass, measured from true north: direction and distance to Jerusalem from your city
Zmanim (Prayer Times)
• Halachic times calculated by KosherJava — Alot HaShachar, HaNetz, Sof Zman Shema (GRA & MGA), Chatzot, Mincha, Shkiah, Tzet HaKochavim, and more
• City selected from a built-in database covering hundreds of Jewish communities worldwide
• Next upcoming zman highlighted in the collapsed notification
• 12-hour or 24-hour time format
Torah & Tehillim Reader
• Daily Tehillim (day-of-month cycle) and weekly parsha buttons on the widget and notification
• Translucent reader overlay with right-to-left flowing text and pinch-to-zoom
• Nikkud and te'amim toggles; Hebrew or English text (Sefaria editions)
• Tikkun mode: unvocalized STaM sofer script with authentic Torah-scroll line layout (tikkun.io)
• Parsha shown by chapters or by aliyot, including double portions
• Original scroll spacing (petucha/setuma) display option
• Customary Elul Tehillim: three additional daily chapters through Yom Kippur
• Switch between Tehillim and Torah without leaving the reader
• Continuous scrolling — reach the end of a chapter and the next (or previous) loads automatically
• Haftarah of the week alongside the parsha
• Navigation dial to jump to any chapter or parsha

New: a quick setup on first launch asks for notifications and location, and finds your city.
Sun arc: the sun rises in the east (right) and sets in the west (left), shows where it is heading, the sunrise and sunset times, and the time left until sunset. It stays current while open.
Moon: drawn in its real phase, with a more accurate percentage.
Fixed: the Jerusalem compass now measures from true north and no longer flickers.
