Clavier Tuner
Piano tuning from the piano in front of you: measured, not assumed
新版本 0.5.0
0.5.0: Sampling stops at G6, where the top octave said "too short". Progress shows the notes you tuned; keys only sampled stay white. Settings speak piano: Strobe, Tolerance, Extra stretch, Scale breaks. "Partial 1" beside the note is gone. Settings > App > About says whether the phone gives the app its unprocessed microphone or processes the sound itself.
Clavier Tuner is a piano tuning app made by a piano tuner — free, open source, and built on one idea: the only truth about a string is a measurement of that string.
A4 ON THE STRING YOU CHOOSE
The first page sets the pitch: tap − or +, or slide a finger along the strip under them. Strike each string of A4 alone and its partials stand as strobes: a clean string's move together and stand still together, a false partial beats on its own. Take the cleanest as your reference.
MEASURE FIRST
Strike single strings with the others muted, any keys up to G6 in any order: six at least, 10 to 15 spread up to G6 for the best result. From those strings the app measures the inharmonicity of your piano and works out where every note belongs, before you tune the first one. The stretch comes from this instrument, not from a table. Each key says when its measurement is complete.
TUNE BY THE STROBE
The app follows the key you strike and listens to the partial a tuner would listen to in that register. The strobe shows that partial against its target to a tenth of a cent, at 47 readings a second — a string that wobbles is shown wobbling. The string's other partials stand beside it, each in its own band: a clean string is one pattern that comes to a standstill, a false partial is the one out of step. When the strobe stands still, the note is in, and the app notes it. No wizard, no verdict dressed up as a number.
YOUR PIANO, YOUR PHONE
A line at the top shows what this tuning is tuned to — A4, the temperament octave, the octave types — and a tap on it changes them. Octave type and width per register (2:1 to 10:5, the double octave 4:1, the twelfth 3:1), the wound/plain break, the match window: the engine carries them as settings and the measurement decides the rest. The session is kept on the phone in one sealed file; continue tomorrow where you stopped. No account, no server, nothing leaves the phone. The microphone is read raw, with every effect switched off.
HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT IS NOT
Pitch raises are out of scope by design: a piano far from pitch needs a pitch raise first. Unisons are tuned by ear, as they should be.
OPEN
The whole engine is published, with its tests and the documents it is judged by. If you want to know how a number on the screen was made, you can read it.

新版本 0.4.1
0.4.1: Done on the A4 page works on the first tap: A4 is measured from its strike, shows "measured", and Done then stays green, sounding or not (the tap itself had restarted the reading). Accept opens only once a key is measured. The A4 page says how to read the strobe.
新版本 0.2.1
The strobe comes up much sooner after a strike: in the deep bass after about 0.4 s instead of a second, in the middle after about 0.2 s.
The screen stays on while the app is open: the phone's timeout no longer turns it off in the middle of a tuning.
