AppShelf

List of installed apps with sources — save, sync and restore on a new phone
New in version 1.38.3
The link catalog is now asked about on first launch; no network requests until you turn it on.
AppShelf keeps a list of the apps installed on your phone — name, package, version, where each one came from and when it was installed — so you can get them all back after a factory reset or on a new phone.

The list

  • All installed apps sorted by name, with letter headers and search by name, package or your notes

  • Source of every app: Google Play, F-Droid, Aurora Store, Obtainium, RuStore, GetApps, Galaxy Store, AppGallery, Amazon — or an APK file, including the app it was opened from

  • Install date, version, last update; filters by source; system apps optional

  • Notes and your own download links (GitHub, Telegram, direct APK) for any app, plus a shared link catalog

  • "What changed": installs and removals by day, comparison with another phone

Save

  • Save the list as JSON, Markdown or CSV, share it as text, or autosave it to a file on every start

  • WebDAV sync on a schedule (e.g. Nextcloud, Yandex Disk) with a folder per phone and several versions; a missed send is caught up later

  • Backups of APK files you cannot get anywhere else — to a folder or to the server

  • Save and restore AppShelf's own settings — to a file or the server, with or without the WebDAV password

Restore

  • Open a saved list and see what is missing; install each app from its store, your link or an APK backup — or all of them in a row

  • Updates for apps from GitHub releases

Design

  • Material 3 Expressive, themes: system, light, dark, graphite, AMOLED black; optional transparency

  • Soft blurred edges, haptic feedback, long-press help on every button

No ads, no trackers, no account. Network is used only for what you set up yourself: your WebDAV server, the link catalog and GitHub releases.

Versions

Although APK downloads are available below to give you the choice, you should be aware that by installing that way you will not receive update notifications and it's a less secure way to download. We recommend that you install the F-Droid client and use that.

    Permissions
    • view network connections
Allows the app to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected.
    • have full network access
Allows the app to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. The browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet.
    • show notifications
Allows the app to show notifications
    • query all packages
Allows an app to see all installed packages.
    • run at startup
Allows the app to have itself started as soon as the system has finished booting. This can make it take longer to start the phone and allow the app to slow down the overall phone by always running.
    • request delete packages
Allows an application to request deletion of packages.
    • request install packages
Allows an application to request installation of packages.
    • update app without user action
Allows the holder to update the app it previously installed without user action
    • control vibration
Allows the app to control the vibrator.
