Fixes: after a different Local folder was connected, automatic backup kept the old folder and every scheduled backup failed. The old folder now shows as not available until a new one is picked. Other apps can no longer reach Tallybook's data.
New: a notification when a recurring transaction or transfer comes due and is added. Choose which entries the drawer shows. ATM and bank search are removed from the drawer.
Tallybook is a private, offline-first expense and budget manager for Android. Track your spending across multiple wallets, set budgets, plan recurring transactions, and see where your money goes, all on your device, with no account and no sign-up.
Tallybook is a maintained, community fork of MoneyWallet by AndreAle94, a GPL-licensed expense manager whose last release was in 2021. This fork modernizes the open-source build for current Android, fixes the startup crash that stopped the original launching for many users, and continues maintenance under a new name.
Tallybook is a separate app from MoneyWallet. It uses its own application id, so it installs side by side with the original and does not replace it or read its data automatically. You can move your data across manually with the built-in backup and restore. See the migration guide in the project for the verified steps.

Fixes: if a Local folder backup lost access to its folder, for example after the app holding it was removed, tapping OK to disconnect froze Tallybook and the prompt came back on every visit. Local folder now offers Change folder in place of Disconnect.
New: put wallets in named groups in the drawer. A dot matrix icon style. Search the icon picker, and find a transaction by typing its amount. A setting to open the calculator first. Backups list newest first.

New: a rule can fill a category in from what you type in the description. Import a CSV another app wrote by mapping its columns. Save a CSV beside each automatic backup. Search the currency list and the category picker. Pin favorite currencies.
Fixes: transfers are no longer counted as income or expense on the period totals, and have their own figure. Importing the same CSV twice no longer doubles the rows. A legacy restore keeps the cents on currencies without 2 decimals.
