Record straight from the home screen widget.
The recorder widget now has its own buttons: record while idle, then pause or resume and stop while recording, all without opening the app. Stretch the widget wider for a discard button. The microphone permission has to be granted in the app once first.
Fixed the recordings widget showing "Failed to load widget" as soon as a recording started.
A voice recorder that gets out of the way. Every recording lives in one list, a tap unfolds the player right inside the row, and the red button at the bottom starts a new one.
Voice Memos has no ads, no trackers, no analytics and no network access whatsoever. It does not even ask for the internet permission. Your recordings stay on your device, in your own audio folder.

Drag the yellow handles over the waveform to pick a section, then trim to keep it or delete to remove it. Edits are previewed before anything is written, and the result is always saved as a new recording, so the original is never touched.
