Patch Pilot
- The launcher icon has a monochrome layer for themed icons on Android 13 and later.
- The app can be shown upside down in portrait, so the USB cable can point away from the player.
Supported instruments
- Nord Grand, Nord Grand 2, Nord Stage 2 EX, Nord Stage 4, Nord Electro 7, Nord Piano 6, Nord Lead A1, Nord Wave 2
- Behringer Pro-800
- Yamaha Motif XS6 (the XS7 and XS8 are recognized as well, but not yet confirmed on real hardware)
- Fractal Audio Axe-Fx III (Mark I; the Mark II is recognized as well, but has not been tested on one)
- Moog Subsequent 37
Each instrument connects over USB, directly or via USB-MIDI where the instrument supports it. Other Nord keyboards that speak the same protocol can be used with a warning; the app's debug menu can run a regression test and share a report that helps get them officially supported.
No account, no ads, no internet access. The app has no network permission at all and never sends data anywhere - the only thing it talks to is the instrument plugged into your phone.
Not sure it fits your setup? Open the app without an instrument attached and choose "Try demo mode" to explore the preset browser on a simulated instrument.

- Instruments can show a notice on connecting; Settings brings hidden ones back.
- Clearer messages: an edit cut off by a lost connection says what may be affected; an attached instrument that does not answer is no longer "not recognised".
- MIDI instruments behind another MIDI interface get longer timeouts.
- Settings links to the source code.
- Many fixes: edits, reconnecting, USB permission hangs, rotation.
