The VirusTotal API key is now encrypted with a hardware backed key from the Android Keystore instead of being stored in plain text. An existing key is migrated automatically on first launch.
The settings store that holds the key is excluded from cloud backup and from device to device transfer, so the credential never leaves the device.

Veto is a sleek, open source VirusTotal client for Android. It turns the full VirusTotal service into a fast, native app: submit a file, a link, or one of your installed apps, watch the analysis happen in real time, and read a clear report that goes from a single verdict down to every field the service returns.

Detailed mode adds everything else, including hashes, history and community votes, sandbox behaviour, YARA matches, Android app internals, and an Additional data section that surfaces every remaining field the service sends back.

Every section carries a short, plain language help note that explains what it means. You can switch the notes off in settings once you know your way around.
