QuorumPony splits a secret — an age or GPG key, a seed phrase, a password — into N shares using Shamir's Secret Sharing over GF(2^8). Any K shares reconstruct the secret; any K−1 reveal nothing about it.
Each share becomes a printable card with a QR code and a hand-typeable code (Crockford base32, so 0/O and 1/I/L can't be confused). Export all cards as a PDF, print them, and hand them to people or places you trust.
Features:
• Split a secret from text or a file into 2–16 cards with a chosen threshold
• Recover by scanning QR codes with the camera, or typing codes by hand
• Check cards: verify a card is intact and part of a backup, without reconstructing the secret
• Two-layer integrity: a per-card checksum catches damaged or mistyped cards instantly; an envelope hash confirms the recovered secret is exactly what was backed up
• Printable PDF of all cards
• Optional biometric/device-credential lock
• Six languages: English, Español, Deutsch, Français, 日本語, Português (Brasil)
Fully offline: no network permission, no analytics, no accounts. The cryptographic core is open source and pinned byte-for-byte to cross-implementation test vectors shared with the iOS app and a Python reference implementation.
