Surf and wingfoil session logbook, stored in your own Nextcloud

KOOK SESSION is a logbook for surfers, wingfoilers and other water sports lovers. Log every session with its conditions, keep track of your spots and your quiver, and learn from your own statistics.

Your data stays in your Nextcloud. The app works with the KOOK SESSION app for Nextcloud, which must be installed on your server. There is no account with a third-party service, no advertising and no tracking. The app works online only: nothing is stored on the phone except your sign-in details, encrypted with the Android Keystore.

Sessions

  • Date, start and end time (duration computed), sport, spot, 1 to 5 stars, comment

  • Number of waves or distance, maximum speed in knots and km/h, equipment used, buddies

  • One photo and one video per session, from the camera or the gallery, saved in your Nextcloud Files

  • Filters by year, sport, spot, rating, equipment and buddy



GPS tracks

  • Import a GPX file (Garmin Connect, Strava, phone apps) or an IGC file into a session: map of the track, distance, duration and maximum speed

  • Empty fields are filled in from the track (date, times, distance, speed, sport, nearest spot); a spot can be created at the start of the track

  • Help explains how to export a track from Garmin Connect; tracks are analysed by your Nextcloud server (KOOK SESSION 1.3.0 or later)



Conditions

  • Swell height and period, tide reference, offset and coefficient

  • Wind direction on a touch wind rose, wind and gusts in knots or Beaufort force, with km/h conversion

  • Water and air temperature



Spots, quiver, buddies

  • Map of your spots (OpenStreetMap), place search, draggable marker, up to 4 photos per spot

  • Boards (dimensions in feet and inches with metric conversion, volume), wings, foils, wetsuits, up to 4 photos each

  • Preferences: add your own sports, equipment types and wetsuit thicknesses



Sharing (KOOK SESSION 1.4.0 or later on Nextcloud)

  • Share a session, a spot, a piece of equipment or your statistics as a message

  • Read-only public link for friends without Nextcloud, valid 24 hours or 7 days, revocable

  • Send a copy to another user of your Nextcloud; received items are in the ⋮ menu > Sharing



Statistics

  • Favourite spot, sessions per month, time on the water

  • 5-star sessions, equipment by conditions, ideal conditions per spot, personal records (including highest speed)



Sign-in uses Nextcloud's Login Flow: enter your server address and approve the app. The app password can be revoked at any time in your Nextcloud security settings.

Available in English and French. Maps use OpenStreetMap tiles and Nominatim place search.

This app was developed with the help of Claude, an AI assistant by Anthropic.

نگارش‌ها

با وجود موجود بودن بارگیری‌های APK برای دادن حق گزینش، باید آگاه باشید که با نصب به این روش، آگاهی‌های به‌روز رسانی را دریافت نکرده و راهی ناامن برای بارگیری است. پیشنهاد می‌شود کارهٔ اف‌دروید را نصب و از آن استفاده کنید.

      به برنامه امکان می‌دهد سوکت‌های شبکه را ایجاد کند و از پروتکل‌های شبکه سفارشی استفاده نماید. مرورگر و سایر برنامه‌ها روشی را برای ارسال داده‌ها به اینترنت ارائه می‌کنند بنابراین این مجوز برای ارسال داده به اینترنت ضروری نیست.
