The pairing QR scans now. The invite was encoded too densely to read off one
phone's screen with another phone's camera; it now uses a lighter error-correction
level and a proper quiet zone, so a single scan works.
Sharing recovers on its own after a network change or a stuck re-share, instead
of leaving a follower stuck on a reading that never updates.
The invite screen shows a tick the moment someone scans it.
See the glucose of someone who has chosen to share it with you. Ayni is a viewer — and only that.
* **No insulin, no pump, no closed-loop code.** If you're looking for an artificial pancreas, this isn't one.
* **Private by design.** Readings travel directly phone-to-phone, sealed before they leave the sender — no account, no server, no one in the middle who can read them. Sharing ends the instant the sender revokes your key.
* **One scan to pair** — the person sharing scans your code and hands back their own address in the same motion.
* **Every reading shows its age.** A follower's real danger isn't an error on screen; it's a stale number that looks current.
Ayni is Quechua for *reciprocity*: your phone carries other people's sealed records so that theirs carry yours when your phone is away — and no phone can read what it holds for anyone else.
To share your own data you build the AndroidAPS add-on yourself, from the project's repository; it is deliberately not distributed.

The app no longer gets killed after an hour.
A bug in the networking library queued the same failed connection attempt over
and over, and the app grew until Android reclaimed it — usually within the hour,
and worst on a phone moving between networks. A fix from that library's issue
thread is carried here. Six hours of watching now pass without it.
