Sixth beta, for F-Droid again: the build patches itself where their scanner needs it, installs Rust the way their servers expect, and pins the same NDK as theirs so their APK and this one come out identical. Nothing changes on the phone.
Seca Contacts is the address book of the Seca suite: Contacts, Phone and Messages, three apps sharing one Material 3 Expressive design, built for privacy. They run on any phone with Android 12 or newer, with or without Google, and are at their best on GrapheneOS. In English and French.

Your contacts stay on your phone

  • No Internet permission: the app cannot send anything anywhere.

  • Contacts stay in Android's own address book, where DAVx⁵ or any sync of your choice can reach them.

  • Works with GrapheneOS Contact Scopes.

Versions

Although APK downloads are available below to give you the choice, you should be aware that by installing that way you will not receive update notifications and it's a less secure way to download. We recommend that you install the F-Droid client and use that.

    Permissions
    • read your contacts
      Allows the app to read data about your contacts stored on your phone. Apps will also have access to the accounts on your phone that have created contacts. This may include accounts created by apps you have installed. This permission allows apps to save your contact data, and malicious apps may share contact data without your knowledge.
    • read phone numbers
      Allows the app to access the phone numbers of the device.
    • read phone status and identity
      Allows the app to access the phone features of the device. This permission allows the app to determine the phone number and device IDs, whether a call is active, and the remote number connected by a call.
    • use biometric hardware
      Allows the app to use biometric hardware for authentication
    • modify your contacts
      Allows the app to modify the data about your contacts stored on your phone. This permission allows apps to delete contact data.
