Notes Tech
On an English phone, everything is in English. The default folder, created as "Boîte de réception" on every install, now shows as "Inbox"; a renamed folder keeps its name. Voice models, errors and the export README are translated. A failed PIN vault now says why, and messages no longer hide behind the folder list.
Radical privacy
• INTERNET permission explicitly removed via manifest merger (tools:node="remove" on android.permission.INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) — verifiable post-merge with aapt dump permissions app.apk
• No account, no telemetry, no tracker, no advertising
• SQLCipher AES-256 database + Android Keystore-sealed key (hardware-backed)
• Multi-step panic mode: wipes key + DB + dictation model in seconds
Per-folder vaults
• Argon2id RFC 9106 passphrase (m=64MB, t=3) or Keystore-bound PIN
• AES-256-GCM per note with AAD = note_id (anti-swap)
• PIN auto-wipe after 5 failures (device-bound Keystore)
• Configurable auto-lock (5 min to never)
On-device voice dictation
• Local Whisper (.bin model imported manually)
• SHA-256 verified at import and before every load
• Audio never persisted — wiped after transcription
Editing
• Markdown with an Edit / Preview switch (headings, lists, links), 500ms debounced autosave
• [[Title]] backlinks with autocomplete + "notes linking here" panel
• FTS5 + bm25 search, folder filter, configurable sort
• ZIP Markdown export (YAML frontmatter, Obsidian/Logseq compatible)
i18n FR / EN
• Language picker in Settings (FR / EN / System)
• Theme picker (Light / Dark / System)
• Localized legal pages (PRIVACY / TERMS)
