BombVault

Watch and open the BombVault backup servers you run yourself.
New in version 10.3.5
The app is still on its break and waves from the hammock. BombVault 10.3.5 fixes the trial restore on Unraid: the /mnt/user share turns down a few file attributes, and the check took that personally. Now it counts the restored files and bytes and goes green when they match. Less red, same naps.
BombVault is a backup tool you run yourself, on Unraid or anywhere Docker runs. It backs up containers, virtual machines, the flash drive and folders with restic. This app is its companion on your phone: it shows what your servers are doing and opens each one's dashboard. The backups themselves run on your servers, never on the phone.

What you can do
• See every server in your group on one screen, with the newest lines of its activity log
• Open the whole activity log and switch between servers
• Open a server's dashboard in the app, without typing its password once the phone is paired
• Pick the language, light or dark, an accent colour and the corners, or let the app take its look from your first server

To pair, scan the QR code your BombVault shows under Settings → Pairing, or type its twelve words. Every server in the group appears at once. You can also add a single server by its address.

The activity log reaches the app through a relay: by default the project's relay at parleyport.halleluja.design, or your own ParleyPort if you enter its address on your servers. Requests and answers are end-to-end encrypted with a key that comes from your words, so the relay passes them on without being able to read them. When a server does not answer at its own address, away from home for example, the app opens its dashboard through the relay as well. The app shows no ads, tracks nothing and needs no account.

You need a running BombVault server. BombVault is free and open source under the AGPL-3.0: https://github.com/junkerderprovinz/bombvault

The app is new and changes quickly, and an update to your server can need an update to the app as well. Please report problems on GitHub.

The app uses the camera only to scan the QR code.
