SoundTree is a personal audio recorder and organizer with an emphasis on bookmarks.
Everything stays on your device - no accounts, no cloud, no tracking, and no network permission at all.
Record high-quality M4A audio with a live scrolling waveform, pause and resume without starting a new file, and save from the notification while your screen is locked. Drop marks during recording or playback to flag moments worth revisiting. Sort recordings into a hierarchical topic tree, nested as deeply as you like. Back up automatically to an external drive or USB device.
Also supports audio-passthrough to earphones for monitoring audio inputs.
Versions
Although APK downloads are available below to give you the choice, you should be aware that by installing that way you will not receive update notifications and it's a less secure way to download. We recommend that you install the F-Droid client and use that.

The topic picker now surfaces your most-used topics at the top for quick access. Frequent topics show a breadcrumb trail of ancestor topics so you always know where they sit in your hierarchy. All behaviour can be configured in Settings → Behavior → Frequent Topics.
